Next-generation sequencing is a technology that reads large amounts of DNA and RNA sequences at one time. In recent years, the amount of readable sequences has increased dramatically, while the cost has decreased, and is now used in many studies. The application of next-generation sequencing is widely, mutation analysis using genomic sequence, marker development such as SNP, genotyping using SNP etc, transcriptome analysis using RNA sequence (identification of new gene and expression analysis), miRNA It can be used for analysis etc.
In this study, we have been studied dormancy and self-incompatibility of deciduous fruit trees, transcriptome analysis of oyster mutants, and so on. Recent years we have been researched such as transcriptome analysis of the peel and flesh to investigate genetic factors on the clefts of citrus. In addition, we are conducting research on genome analysis of citrus unshu and mid-night supper and plan to construct a database of future of genome information.
